Far and away the most important holiday in China is Spring Festival, also known as the Chinese New Year. To the Chinese people it is as important as Christmas to people in the West. the dates for this annual celebration are determined by the lunar calendar rather than the GREgorian calendar, so the timing of the holiday varies from late January to early February.

To the ordinary Chinese, the festival actually begins on the eve of the lunar New Year’s Day and ends on the fifth day of the first month of the lunar calendar. But the 15th of the first month, which normally is called the Lantern Festival, means the official end of the Spring Festival in many parts of the country.

This winter holiday I stayed at home. I am happy because my father and my mother could spend more time with me during the Spring Festival. Besides, on the eve of the Spring Festival, we had a great family reunion dinner and then we watched Spring Festival Party on CCTV1. Sometimes, I reviewed my lessons. I had a very wonderful holiday.

整個寒假我都呆在家裏，我很高興因為春節期間我的爸爸和媽媽能夠花更多時間和我在一起。而且，在新年前夕，我們一家吃了團圓飯，然後我們看中央電視一台的春節聯歡晚會。有時，我複習功課。我度過了一個非常愉快的假期。

This year I have a happy spring featival with my family.

On New Year's Eve,all the family people get together to have a big dinner in the ng the dinner we have a small talk and play some say some good hope to each example,keep good healthe,try your best to do everything,have a good mood in this year,happy everyday and so on.

Thanks to this spring festival,it make our family people get enjoy ourselves and in the new year we all fighting.

今年我有一個與我的家人快樂的春節.

在除夕夜,全家人聚在一起吃頓大餐.吃飯的時候,我們有一個聊天和玩遊戲.我們説一些好希望對方.例如,保持良好的健康,盡力去做每一件事,今年有一個好心情每天,快樂等等.

Dumplings are the most traditional food dren like the festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes can also get some money from their parents.
