歲月如梭，時光荏苒。恍眼間，我的第一屆學生即將面臨大學聯考。然而，前兩天，我的兩個學生找到我，暢談心事之時，很是為他們迷惘，彷徨甚至放棄的思想擔心。可能，他們在學習之中遇到一些痛苦和挫折的緣故吧！當時，我勸慰道："沒有人一輩子都是一帆風順的，遇到挫折，應該冷靜思考，找出問題所在，而不是放棄，記住，路是自己闖出來的，沒有人能放棄你，只有你自己"。
是呀！人的一生不知要面對多少痛苦與挫折，都是在痛苦與挫折中慢慢成熟。我想，成功人士與失敗之人的差別在於對痛苦與挫折的態度吧！有的人能直面挫折，化解痛苦。而有的人卻常常誇大挫折、放大痛苦。不一樣的人生之旅，而要讓我們心裏的戈壁荒原開滿鮮花，就只有直面挫折，而不是放大痛苦。我們的沈老便是最好的明證
人們常説，風雨過後，面前會是鷗翔魚遊的天水一色，荊棘過後，面前會是鋪滿鮮花的康莊大道。既然如此，我們還有什麼理由放大痛苦。生命是一朵常開不敗的花，那挫折必是滋潤花的養分，沒有經歷過挫折的人生是不完整的人生，沒有滋潤它養分的花遲早也會枯萎。一枚貝殼不是要用一生的時間才能將無數的沙粒轉化成並不規則的珍珠嗎？雨後彩虹綻放剎那的美麗卻要積聚無數的水汽。如果把這些都看成一次又一次挫折，那麼是挫折成就了光彩奪目的珍珠和美麗的彩虹。
冰心説："成功的花兒，人們只驚羨它現時的美麗。當初它芽兒浸透了奮鬥的淚水，灑遍了犧牲的細雨。"
