Everybody has his dream job. I also have my dream job. My dream is to work for foreign tourists as a tour guide.
Why do I want to be a tour guide? First of all, I'm an outgoing girl, and I like doing some exciting things. Maybe being a tour guide is the best choice. If I become a tour guide, I can travel all around China, and know more about our country. Then I will tell the foreign tourists about our colorful history. Second, I like making friends. If I work as a tour guide, I can make a lot of friends all over the world. This may be great.
Perhaps someday my foreign friends will ask me to visit their countries. I really like to go to their countries to know something about their culture. What’s more, I like singing.
Singing English songs is my favorite. I believe I will be popular with foreign tourists. Their trip will be excellent.
Now, I am still a middle school student. My job now is to work hard in school. Then I’ll go to university to learn something about being a tour guide. I’m sure I can.

However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

尊敬的老師、同學們：
大家好!
夢想是什麼?夢想是人們對未來的追求的動力;夢想有時又等於理想，可有時又不等於理想;夢想其實就是一種不符合實際，在夢境中所能實現的理想，一種高度。每個人都有自己的理想，併為之去奮鬥。我的夢想很平凡：一名警察。當然我也知道我自己的實力，所以我開始每天加強體育鍛煉，好好學習，爭取長大考上警校。記得，剛開始有這個念頭時，我還不那麼認真，可日子久了夢想給我的魔力便一下子突顯出來了。
就在暑假時，我為了實現這個夢想，讓它變成現實，我每天都堅持在樓下跑步，由爸爸監督。有一次，因天氣十分炎熱，我跑了一圈便跑不動了，可爸爸卻不同意。我當時就想：不就是一個夢想嗎，大不了再換，我自己的事，還用你管!當時我憋了一肚子火，終於爆發了出來，頭腦一熱，朝爸爸喊道：“你憑什麼管我，我自己的事不用你管!”當這句話説出口時，才意識到闖禍了。
我本以為爸爸會罵我，可他並沒有這樣做，而是心平氣和地對我説：“孩子，我知道你累了，可你不應該面對困難就退縮，更何況這還只是一些小問題，你要堅持下去，為夢想而奮鬥!”聽了這句話我就像喝了興奮劑一樣，在烈日下頂着炎熱和勞累，跑了10圈。可能對於跑步好的同學，跑10圈不算什麼，可它對我來説意義重大，因為它象徵着我向夢想邁出的第一步，它也是我成功的奠基石。
同樣在學習上我也絕不放鬆，在課上，認真聽老師講課：在課間，準備好下一節課的學習用具：回家，認真完成作業。從中，我也體會到了如同巴爾扎特一樣的感受“學習有如母親一般慈愛，它用純潔和温柔的歡樂來哺育孩子，如果向它要求額外的報酬，也許就是罪過。”這些在我看來，可真算得上是體育、學習“齊頭並進”。
日子一天一天的過去，我也一天天在長大，同時也離我的夢想越來越近了，在這段艱難的道路上，我要斬斷所有荊棘，去努力、追逐我的夢想。
