1)在公立大學和學院學習的留學生，在學習期間，可在校園外打工(以前是隻能在校與內工作)。
2)留學生在加拿大大學完成學位後，可在加拿大合法工作兩年(以前是一年)。
3)留學生從一所加拿大大學和學院轉到另一所加拿大大學和學院，不再需要重新申請學生簽證。
4)在中學讀書的留學生，可獲取比以前更長的學生簽證。
