在這本書中，描寫的人物儘管很多，但作者安排得很巧妙，顯得有主有次。雖然這裏面的人除了簡·貝內特和伊麗沙白·貝內特以及賓利先生和達西先生外，其它的人幾乎都存在很多缺點。但正因為對這些小人物的描寫，更讓我們覺得它的真實，因為在生活中，我們其實或多或少地也在扮演着這些並不光彩的角色，不是嗎?捫心自問，無論是貝內特太太的自私、勢利、放蕩;威克姆的恩將仇報;柯林斯的虛偽愚蠢、奴顏婢膝還是凱瑟琳夫人的獨斷專行、自私自利;以及其它人的……，我們是不是都能從自己或周圍人的身上找出些原型來?

當然，書中所描寫的人物並不是都那麼猥瑣。

簡是貝內特家的大小姐，她美貌而又性格温和，甚至有些天真，從來都不會把別人往壞處想——哪怕她明知別人在欺騙她!其實這樣的人雖然看似完美，但我覺得，她似乎缺少應有的是非鑑別能力，倘若她生存當今的中國，只怕被人騙得連東南西北都不知道了!其實做人不僅僅要有寬容之心，還要有起碼的判斷能力，知道什麼時候該忍，什麼時候該退!

我最推崇的是伊麗沙白——貝內特家的三小姐。她美麗、熱情、聰明、自尊自信、面對權勢絕不低頭。當她看到達西的傲慢行為時，即使知道他是一個年薪上萬英磅、並且地位頗高的少爺，她也絕不因此而強迫自己去巴結他。舞會上，當整個朗波村的人都對他趨炎附勢時，她只是鄙夷地坐在一邊。後來，她知道自己錯怪了達西時，也敢於表白歉意。還有，在簡生病的時候，她放下小姐的架子，徒步冒着雨去探望姐姐，耐心地服侍姐姐……總之，在這本書中，她幾乎是一個完美的可人兒，有個性，卻又善良無私!

賓利是一個和簡差不多的“老好人”，儘管他也很有錢，但他卻那麼平易近人。俗話説“物以類聚，人以羣分”，他和簡能走到一起，我想，這既是偶然的，也是必然的。

至於達西呢，前面説過，他是一個“傲慢的傢伙”，儘管他外表很高傲，但實際上，他的內心很善良，他雖然有錢有勢，但對傭人們卻那麼慈悲，對朋友也那麼真誠、無私。其實他高傲是因為他有資本——試問一下，一個從小就生長在權貴家庭的少爺，一個一直被父母寵着的獨子，能不養成自高自大的壞毛病嗎?開始，他也存在着很深的門户之見，但是，在伊麗沙白的影響下，他慢慢地開始接近那些“和他身份很不相稱的”小老百姓了。後來，他和伊麗沙白拋開門户之見，終於走到一起了，他們這兩個性格幾近完美的人，以後互相影響，也許會變得更完美了吧。
