疑問代詞(Interrogative Pronouns)——
who、whom、whose、what、which
它們的具體用法如下：
1、疑問代詞用於句首，構成特殊疑問句，在句中可作主語、賓語、表語或定語。例如：
Who broke the window just now?
剛才是誰把窗户打破的?
這裏“who”作主語。
Who is the boy in white?
那個穿白衣服的男孩是誰?
這裏“who”作表語。
Whom are you talking to?
你在跟誰説話?
這裏“whom”作賓語。
Whose bike is that?
那是誰的自行車?
這裏“whose”作定語。
What is this?
這是什麼?
這裏“what”作表語。
What are you looking for?
你在找什麼?
這裏“what”作賓語。
What time is it?
幾點了?
這裏“what”作定語。
Which is your favorite subject?
你最喜歡哪個科目?
這裏“which”作表語。
Which boy do you like better?
你更喜歡哪個男孩?
這裏“which”作定語。
2、疑問代詞可用於引導名詞性從句(主語從句、賓語從句和表語從句)。例如：
What we should do depends on you.
我們該做什麼取決於你。
這裏“what”引導的是主語從句。
No one knows what will happen next.
誰也不知道接下來會發生什麼事。
這裏“what”引導的是賓語從句。
This is what we can do now.
這就是我們現在能做的。
這裏“what”引導的是表語從句。
Who broke the window is still unknown.
是誰打破了玻璃還不知道。
這裏“who”引導的是主語從句。
I don’t know who you are looking for.
我不知道你在找誰。
這裏“who”引導的是賓語從句。
Do you know whose is the dress on the chair?
你知道椅子上的裙子是誰的嗎?
這裏“whose”引導的是賓語從句。
值得一提的是：
“whom”是“who”的賓格，在比較正式的書面語中用作動詞或介詞的賓語，例如：
Whom did they invite?
他們邀請誰了?
With whom did you go?
你是和誰一起去的?
日常口語中，我們一般用“who”代替“whom”，但用作介詞賓語位於句首時，只能用“whom”，例如：
Whom did you see at the party?
你在聚會中看見誰了?
可以説：Who did you see at the party?
To whom did you write to?
你給誰寫信了?
不能説：To who did you write to?
不過可以這樣説：Who did you write to?
